But before I collected all those fancy titles, I was someone who suffered from:

And then they prescribed pills to mask my symptoms: 
    • Synthetic hormones for the period pain
    • Uppers for the brain fog
    • Downers for the anxiety & insomnia. 

But, despite all these symptoms, my doctors told me I was perfectly healthy. 

(UM, WHAT?!)

What I wanted were answers,
but ALL I got were bandaids

•For the constant bloat & gas: I learned about Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda (the sister science of yoga) and something called the microbiome to uncover what the message was my body was trying to send to me in the form of bloat and gas. Not surprisingly, it was telling me: “I don’t like what you’re feeding me!” So I responded accordingly.

•For the cystic acne: the adjustments I made to my diet dramatically influenced the quality of my skin. But I also had to unlearn everything I thought I knew about skincare and learn how to nourish skin from the inside out.

•For the periods so painful they made me puke: man, this one was hard. It got worse before it got better. But, when it did get better, I learned how to harness the power of my cycle so that I knew how to work with it instead of dreading it month after month.

•For the kidney stones: I started paying attention to how much water I drank and realized everything I thought I knew about hydration, as a life-long athlete, was false.

•For the insomnia: I took a close look at my bedtime routine, which is something I hadn’t given a second thought to since I was like, seven years old. And? My bedtime routine was total trash! So it made sense that until I cleaned it up, my sleep would be garbage too.

•For the anxiety: I put on my big girl pants and recognized that my mind was constantly racing because it was trying to run away from the things I was unwilling to feel. I was tired of the emotional exhaustion, so I decided to face what it was my mind was trying so desperately to protect me from, and build a relationship with it.

•For the brain fog: I was eating the standard American diet (SAD) - lots of processed carbs and bad fats and sugar and not nearly enough high quality protein or vegetables. And my ability to focus was directly affected by it. What I ate mattered not only for my waistline but for my mind as well. I figured out what foods made my mind slow and fuzzy, and what made me feel sharp & with it. I prefer to feel sharp and with it 🙃, so I started making different food choices.

It didn’t take long for me to realize that I was getting zero support to help me uncover WHY I felt the way I did. Instead, I got meds to make me feel less of it. That didn’t sit right to me, so I stopped refilling prescriptions and started learning.

Over the course of 15 years, I’ve figured out the why for every symptom I was experiencing, and how to address it.

You save posts on Instagram from trusted sources about how to do things like make your own zoodles or meditate your way to a glowing complexion (WTF even are zoodles anyway?) but then those saves just sit there like that pair of just-in-case jeans you keep telling yourself you’re saving til one day they fit you again. Read: the day never comes! You never return to the saved posts, just like you never fit into the jeans again (well, not yet anyway - I can help with that, too!).

You’ve tried eliminating carbs from your diet because you keep hearing about keto this and paleo that but then, rightfully so!, you’re famished and find yourself overeating cuz you’re so hungry and then end up even more bloated than you were before you tried to wage war with wheat.

Every week, you’ll have an assignment based on the video modules. 
 
Some assignments will include worksheets that are just for you, while others will prompt you to head to the Facebook group where you’ll reflect on particular elements of your life that relate to the module material. 
 
The Facebook group is an invaluable resource for the group between live coaching calls because it allows us to keep the conversation going, get support when we need it (dish it out, too!) and it’s the place where any and all questions that come up between coaching calls will live.

02. Weekly Group Coaching Calls 

Each week, you’ll watch a new video module. 

In the modules, I personally walk and talk you through the material and translate it so it’s easy to understand, easy to digest, and easy to see how the information matters for your health.

 100+ videos will guide you through each of the 5 core sections of LiveMadWell Academy. Sound like a lot of content? It is! But it’s just the right amount. Videos are divided up intentionally so they don’t overwhelm, and no video is more than 20 minutes long.

 Each week, a new module will be released so all you have to focus on is one module, one week at a time. This way, instead of rushing through it, you get to thoughtfully reflect on what you’ve learned and really let it sink in before implementing what you’ve learned.
